L’incontro casuale con un fotografo di guerra straniero porta Alex alla guerra in Cecenia. Dopo questa esperienza, si rende conto che vuole diventare anche lui un fotografo di guerra, ma non ci riesce. Alex rimane legato alla guerra solo attraverso i suoi nuovi amici – reporter di guerra.
Ci vorranno 15 anni affinché Alex riesca a rintracciare le storie della gente che si scaglia in prima linea, a capire le loro vere motivazioni, e a vedere ciò che gli provoca la guerra.
Ci vorranno 15 anni affinché Alex riconsideri il suo intento e si renda conto che il suo posto è da qualche altra parte, mentre volta le spalle alla guerra.
 
An accidental meeting with a foreign war photographer takes Alex to war in Chechnya. After experiencing it, he realizes he also wants to become a war photographer however, he doesn’t succeed. Alex remains connected to war only through his newly acquired friends – war reporters.
It will take Alex 15 years to track the stories of people, who throw themselves into the frontline, and to understand their true motivations, and to see what war does to them.
It will take Alex 15 years to rethink his intention and to realize that he has found his place somewhere else, while turning his back to war.
